Garrett Perkins is a physician assistant who joined Dermatology Associates in 2026, bringing with him a strong foundation in medicine—and a family legacy in dermatology.

His journey in healthcare began in 2020 as a medical assistant, and he soon followed in the footsteps of his family. Garrett’s father is a dermatology physician assistant, while his grandfather was a dermatologist MD. With dermatology woven into his family history, Garrett found his own path in the specialty and earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, along with a Bachelor of Health Science from Brigham Young University–Idaho.

Beyond medicine, Garrett has a deep connection to Montana’s outdoors. An experienced fly fishing guide, he has logged 370+ guided fly fishing trips throughout Montana and Yellowstone National Park, guiding professionally during multiple summers between 2016 and 2022.
